How to set up your email in Outlook for Mac

Step 1: Open Outlook

Open your Microsoft Outlook App.

 

 

Step 2: Go to Account Setting

In the Menu bar, click Outlook, click Settings. 

 

Select Accounts.

 

Click Add Account

 

Step 3: Enter Your Email Address

Enter your domain email address then click Continue. Select Choose the Provide once it pops out.

 

Choose IMAP

 

You can click Sync directly with IMAP

 

 

Step 4: Configure Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server

You'll need to configure your mail server settings for both Incoming and Outgoing messages.

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) Settings: 

  • Server: Use the format “mail.yourdomain” (e.g., mail.gatehills.ae)
  • Port: 993 (for IMAP)
  • Security Type: SSL/TLS

 

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Settings: 

  • Server: Use the format “mail.yourdomain” (e.g., mail.gatehills.ae)
  • Port: 993 (for IMAP)
  • Security Type: SSL/TLS

 

Also make sure that "Use SSL to connect" is selected.


 

Configuration Complete

Your domain email account has now been successfully configured in Outlook for Mac using IMAP.

Outlook will automatically begin synchronizing your emails, folders, and mailbox data. Please allow a few moments for the initial synchronization process to complete.
